Apple is Back at it Again…With the Small Phones

Let’s take a trip back to 2007 when the 4.5 inches by 2.4 inches by 0.48 inch iPhone 3 came out. Ever since then Apple has made their iPhones larger and larger, to the point of the phablet (the phone tablet). That is, until now. On March 31st Apple will release the iPhone SE. The special part about this iPhone is that it has the same chip and power of an iPhone 6, just in a more convenient size.

This iPhone is fully equipped with a twelve-megapixel camera and a four-inch retina display. Apple calls it “an iPhone that looks small. But lives large.” It is “the most powerful four-inch iPhone yet”, but in comparison to the four-inch iPhone 3, those standards are set pretty low. This design crafted from bead-blasted aluminum for a satin-like finish is apparently pretty popular, which is why Apple made this four-inch phone to fit comfortably into your hand.

In my personal opinion, I think that Apple should have come out with this earlier, because the 5.44 inches by 2.64 inches iPhone 6 is pretty inconvenient to try and fit into the tiny slit in my lululemons. It is definitely much easier to handle this product, but if you’re one of those people who constantly watch movies and play video games, then this may not be the best option for you.

The fact that Apple is now starting to reduce the size of the iPhone is quite ironic due to the product fight between smartphone software manufacturers on who could make the bigger smartphone. It seemed to be that Andriod started the big-phone trend and Apple simply followed it with the iPhone 6 and 6 plus, but will Apple now go back to being the leading smartphone producer and start a new trend with smaller phones?
