The Emmys: A Fashion Review

Multiple times a year, celebrities put on elaborate outfits for award shows, straight from the twisted minds of world-renowned designers. This past weekend was The Emmys, an award show that recognizes the best of the best in television. While the Hollywood stars are concerned with getting an award, the general audience is usually most concerned with the celebrities’ looks. Here is a rundown of the best and worst looks of the 2019 Emmys.

Zendaya: It is no surprise that Zendaya is one of the most spectacular actors in Hollywood, and constantly, sans fail, looks flawless at each and every award show and event she attends. The 2019 Emmys was no exception. Clad in all deep-green, Zendaya wore a floor-length Vera Wang corset dress. With matching ivy-colored heels, and red hair, Zendaya’s look was nothing short of a showstopper. 

Sophie Turner: At the 2019 Emmys, Sophie Turner looked extremely elegant in a floor-length Louis Vuitton gown. The light, powdery pink color matched by her eye makeup, and she finished off the look with a silver necklace and matching heels. Sophie Turner is also an actor that, in my opinion, never fails to look stunning. Her look at the 2019 Emmys was beautiful. 

Halsey: While I would not consider Halsey to be my fashion icon, she really brought it for this year’s Emmys. Dresses in a sleeveless, flowy gown, which appears to be feathered, Halsey did not wear a safe option yet rocked her dress. She killed this look. 

Kendall Jenner: At this years’ Emmys, Kendall Jenner wore a very interesting dress. With a long sleeve turtleneck seemingly made of latex. Over that she wore a floor length dress with a very loud floral pattern on it. Simply put, I don’t think this was her best look. In my opinion, this dress was the worst at the Emmys.
