This summer, there were many concerts that CCA students attended. For example, Teddy Swims performed at Petco Park. Most well known for his song “Lose Control,” his I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour on July 31 also included popular songs like “Bad Dreams" and "The Door.” In addition, D4vd performed in the beginning of August this summer at The Sound, which is only 4 miles from CCA. He is mostly known for his songs “Romantic Homicide” and “Here With Me,” songs that have individually exceeded 1.5 billion plays on Spotify. He performed at The Sound as a part of his Withered 2025 Tour. D4vd’s album, WITHERED, is even featuring the song, “Crashing,” that is sung with Grammy-winning Latin and R&B music artist Kali Uchis. Kali Uchis is also touring her The Sincerely, Tour and performed at the Pechanga Arena on Aug. 24. She’s planning to go to Arizona, Texas, Florida, Georgia, and many other states and big cities before returning to California on 27 and 28 of Sept. and the 23rd of October. Many other artists performed this summer like Gracie Abrams who came to the Kia Forum in Inglewood for her The Secret of Us Tour on Aug 6. Rolling Stone even called Abrams “one of pop’s buzziest young artists.” Maybe some are willing to travel far to go see the #1 artist on Spotify, Bruno Mars. He recently has been in Las Vegas at the Dolby Live, which often features top artists like Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, and more. Also, fans of rap likely enjoyed seeing Lil Wayne, Tyga, and Belly Gang Kushington on Sept. 10 at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre. Influential hip hop artist Lil Wayne recently released an album in June followed by a single in July, a song titled “Miami” including Morgan Wallen and Rick Ross. Most recently, Chris Brown performed at Petco Park for his Breezy Bowl XX tour on Sept. 17. He performed alongside Summer Walker and Bryson Tiller, singing his song It Depends, which features Tiller. Brown is around 29 in the world on Spotify, likely because of his many popular songs such as “Under The Influence,” “No Guidance,” and “Superhero (Heroes & Villains).”
There are many concerts to look forward to as well. For example, Laufey and Suki Waterhouse are performing on Sept. 24 at the Pechanga Arena. Laufey recently released her A Matter of Time and Waterhouse recently released her Memoir of a Sparklemuffin. For a lively, energetic, and engaging concert, maybe even featuring a backflip or two, Benson Boone will be performing at the Pechanga Arena on Sept. 27 and at the Honda Center in Anaheim on 28. Sept. 28 might be a better option for those planning on seeing Hozier at the Doheny State Beach on Sept. 27. Hozier recently came out with a single of his song “Like Real People Do,” but featuring NATURE. The song features raw authentic vocals, melodic harmonies, and relatable lyrics that you will not want to miss. More upcoming concerts also include Twenty One Pilots and Dayglow, Doechii, Bryan Adams, Conan Gray, Lil Tecca, John Legend, the Jonas Brothers, Calum Scott, TLC and Shaggy, and many more.
